Sustainability in Project Management: Where Innovation Meets Action

At Sound of Earth, we believe in the intersection of innovation and environmental stewardship. Our recent collaboration with PMI-LA and USC Viterbi brought together industry leaders to discuss how project managers can drive sustainable practices across sectors.

This Los Angeles Climate Week™ panel brought together expert project managers from diverse industries to explore the powerful intersection of sustainability and business success. Hosted by PMI-LA, Sound of Earth, and USC Viterbi's GCSP, the discussion revealed how project managers are uniquely positioned to drive environmental initiatives while maintaining profitability.

Our distinguished panelists—Katherine Nnanwubar (Tech), Melissa Benson (Renewable Energy), Faye Wu (Fashion), and Guadalupe Morales (Advertising)—shared invaluable insights on implementing sustainable practices across sectors, demonstrating that environmental responsibility and business success can go hand-in-hand.

Participants gained practical strategies for incorporating sustainability into project workflows, building interdisciplinary collaborations, and creating measurable environmental impact. The event highlighted that project managers possess the skills and influence to lead organizational change toward greener practices and more resilient futures.
